This Privacy Policy explains how PistaNet Technologies, LLC (“PistaNet,” “BerksGo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the BerksGo website, mobile application, and transportation-related services (collectively, the “Services”).
PistaNet Technologies, LLC operates BerksGo as a passenger transportation service. The BerksGo application is the customer-facing electronic reservation, dispatch, and trip-information system. This website does not solicit public operator applications.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide to us, including account and contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, login information, rider profile information, support communications, ratings or feedback, and information you submit when using the Services.
PistaNet may also maintain information concerning company-authorized operators and vehicles for operational, safety, insurance, legal, or regulatory purposes. That information may include identity and contact details, licensing, vehicle, and insurance documentation, and related operational records. This information is used to operate and administer the service, satisfy safety and legal requirements, and prevent fraud. It is not sold and is not used for advertising or tracking. Operator and vehicle records are stored in private, access-restricted storage and are available only to authorized BerksGo administrators through authenticated or temporary signed access.
2. Location, trip, and device information
BerksGo processes trip information such as pickup and destination locations, route and trip status information, requested stops, estimated or actual trip details, and related ride records. When you grant device permission, BerksGo may collect precise or approximate device location to support pickup, trip progress, navigation-related features, safety, fraud prevention, and customer support.
You can control device location permission through your device settings. Some location-dependent features may not work if location access is unavailable; where supported, you may enter trip locations manually.
3. Payments and financial transactions
BerksGo uses payment service providers, including Stripe, to facilitate payment transactions and related financial operations. Payment card or wallet information may be collected and processed by the payment provider. BerksGo does not intentionally store full payment card numbers on its own servers when those details are handled by the payment provider. We may receive and retain transaction-related information such as payment status, amount, transaction identifiers, refunds, adjustments, or related financial records as needed to operate the Services.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the Services; create and maintain accounts; coordinate trips and communicate assigned-operator, vehicle, and fare information; process and reconcile transactions; provide support; send service-related communications; maintain safety and security; detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or misuse; troubleshoot and improve the Services; enforce our terms; and comply with legal, tax, accounting, insurance, or regulatory obligations.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to provide a trip, including sharing relevant rider, assigned-operator, vehicle, pickup, destination, trip-status, or contact information between the participants in a ride. We may also disclose information to vendors and service providers that help us operate the Services, including hosting, database, mapping, payment, communications, and technical service providers.
We may disclose information when required by law or legal process; to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, BerksGo, or others; to investigate suspected fraud or misuse; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business. Service providers that process personal information on our behalf are expected to protect that information consistent with their obligations and applicable law.
6. Third-party services
The Services use third-party technology and infrastructure, which may include Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for backend/database services, Google services for mapping or location-related functionality, Apple platform services such as Apple Pay where available, and other infrastructure needed to operate BerksGo. Those providers may process information under their own applicable terms and privacy practices as well as their obligations to BerksGo.
7. Data retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining transaction and trip records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal, tax, accounting, insurance, safety, or regulatory obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is maintained.
BerksGo users can initiate account deletion from the Account screen in the app. When an account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify associated personal information that we are not required or permitted to retain. Information that must be retained for legitimate legal, financial, safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, or regulatory purposes may be retained for the applicable period. Operator and vehicle records that are no longer needed may be removed during administrative cleanup, unless longer retention is required for legal, insurance, safety, fraud-prevention, or regulatory purposes. When an account deletion request is completed, associated personal information is also removed unless retention is legally required or permitted.
8. Your privacy choices
You may manage certain permissions through your device settings and may contact us regarding access, correction, deletion, or other privacy questions or choices that may be available to you. You may also initiate account deletion within the BerksGo app. Withdrawing a permission may affect features that depend on that permission.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. Operator and vehicle documentation is stored using private, access-restricted storage and authenticated or temporary signed access. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
BerksGo is not intended for children under 13 to create accounts independently. Additional age, identity, licensing, or rider eligibility requirements may apply to particular Services.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated Policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
